2020-2021 Annual Newsletter

Hey all!

Quite honestly, these past two years have not been the easiest of times. However, we remain hopeful and inspired by our mission and vison. We know God's timing is perfect and we will continue to do our best work with the knowledge and resources He has provided. We know the best is yet to come and can't thank you all enough for what you made possible this year....

Milwaukee's Newest Artisans sold 43 baskets, saved 2,580 plastic bags from going into the landfill, and earned $822 with every single penny going straight into their pockets this year. To date the artisans have sold 995 baskets, earned $20,526 and saved 61,200 plastic bags from the landfill.

This past year we did not attend any markets due to COVID; and to be fully transparent, we need more helping hands. If you know of anyone who would be interested in taking the artisans to local markets, or know of any stores that would be interested in carrying their baskets, please reach out.

In Nepal, you provided four students with educational support totaling $2,215. These four students are currently in grades 11 and 12 and will soon enter college. Our goal is to support these individuals in their school endeavors as well as support more students in the years to come.

We are working closely with our team in Nepal to determine what programs we may implement in the future that would align with our mission. This is a work in progress, but we believe if implemented correctly and with the right goals in mind, these programs have the potential to make a positive, lasting impact on the students we serve.

One of you created a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser for the second year in a row and and raised a total of $260 this year. You have no idea how incredibly grateful we are for this continued support and for making us a small part of your day.

As always, we cannot thank you enough. Thank you for thinking of us, supporting us, praying for us. We truly wouldn't survive without all of you who make this work possible. We know how busy everyone is and know how hectic life can be, so your messages, donations, and prayers mean all the more to us. Thank you for bringing hope and inspiration to humans just like you, who sometimes need a reminder that they are loved and deserve the best.
