A Recap of 2023!

Here's a glimpse from this past year and all we've been able to do because of your support. You all Rock!

This year the women of Why Not Now Missions sold 153 baskets, saved 9,180 plastic bags from going into the landfill, and earned $3,434 with every penny going straight into their pockets. We attended various farmer's markets throughout the summer and the women were also welcomed into Sendik's to sell their baskets. A local hip and trendy plant shop in Bayview, Clover, now also carries some of their baskets. To date, the artisans have sold 1,194 baskets, earned $24,281 and have saved 71,640 plastic bags from the landfill.

Early in 2023, many of you donated to support a local Syrian family who had just arrived in the States and settled in Milwaukee. We were able to provide them with a check for $1,005 to help them get their feet on the ground with rent, food, and other basic necessities. They are incredibly grateful.

In Nepal, we were able to pay the yearly tuition fees for two students totaling $2,000; one of the students is in grade 12 and the other is in his first year of college. It's a huge achievement to reach this level of higher education in Nepal so we are extremely proud of each of these students. Without your help, this wouldn't even be a possibility. In addition to pursuing his education, the college student is fueling his passion for basketball as a fundamental basketball coach for a local basketball academy program. When he isn't studying, he's preparing to try out for the national basketball team in Nepal.

As always, we cannot thank you enough for your generosity and continued belief in our mission. Since we have started the work of Why Not Now Missions, we have received over $97,246 in both cash and in-kind donations that have supported Nepalese students and local refugees. Thank you for the tremendous help you bring to these individuals and families. Your kindness will never go unnoticed.
